Taylor Swift and Harry Styles have been dating for, oh, a month and a half, at best. But, they've already made some big relationship moves like holding hands at the Central Park Zoo, kissing in Times Square on New Year's Eve, and vacationing in the Caribbean. They were even rumored to be
getting married!
Perhaps one of the reasons the relationship has been moving so fast is that it's been in the
works for a lot longer. Apparently Swift had a crush on the One Directioner for months before their romance blossomed in late November. Get the full breakdown of the Haylor romance, from their very first meeting to the very first sign of trouble (gasp!), here.
March 2012: They meet. Styles and Swift met for the first time at the 2012 Kids' Choice Awards. The country star was seen dancing along backstage during One Directions' performance.
April 2012: Bieber blabs. Justin Bieber revealed in an interview that "one of the biggest artists in the world thinks Harry is so hot, but I have been sworn to secrecy." At the time, it was anyone's guess as to who this "biggest artist" really was. But it didn't take long for the first Styles-Swift
dating rumors to surface.

September 2012: Reunited. Over the summer, Swift had everyone thinking she was bound to
become a Kennedy, so the buzz about her crushing on Mr. Styles was kept to a minimum. However, things ramped back up at the MTV Video Music Awards, where Swift and One Direction performed again. Styles' bandmates even ribbed him about being excited to see the country cutie take the stage.
October 2012:
Crush revealed. Harry Styles was much more forward about his feelings for Swift in a
Seventeen interview. He said: "[Taylor]'s a really lovely girl. Honestly, she couldn't be a sweeter person. She's a great girl and she's extremely talented." He then said she's "one of those people you meet [who's] genuinely a nice person. Some people you meet and they are not as nice as you make them out to be, but she's one of those people who's really just amazing."
Swift and Conor Kennedy also broke up at the end of October.
November 2012: The X Factor. Just when you thought the Biebs was the one with a big mouth,
X Factor host Mario Lopez went and blew the cover off the blossoming Haylor romance after both stars appeared on the reality show. "Taylor Swift was the special guest performer, and a little inside scoop for you: During rehearsals, Harry from One Direction came and slapped me on the back and said, 'Hey, Mario, how ya doing?' And I said, 'What are you doing here?' And he sort of [pointed] toward Taylor."
Lopez also claimed the young couple held hands backstage.
December 2012:
Confirmed! Sure enough, just weeks after Mr. Lopez revealed the news, Haylor stepped out at New York's Central Park Zoo on December 2. The pair looked totally adorable as they made their way around the grounds with another couple and their little girl. Swift made sure to make her
best excited face while watching the seals. From there, they've basically been inseparable.
After their zoo date, the new couple reportedly spent two nights together at Swift's NYC hotel. The biggest clue? The One Directioner was spotted heading into his gal's hotel at about 11pm with a very
large duffel bag. It probably just contained boardgames, though. While in the Big Apple
they reenacted the famous
Dirty Dancing lift scene. Seriously.

For the next week or so, the stars got to spend more quality time together while Swift and One Direction performed at multiple Jingle Ball concerts on the East Coast and even in London. They even
shared a kiss at one stop. There was a bit of controversy when the country star
flew her man to the UK on her private jet, while his bandmates were stuck in coach. While celebrating Swift's 23rd birthday in London, they hung out with birds.

Holidays 2012: Let's get serious. Things really picked up for the pair around mid-December, just in time for Christmas. First, Swift made the big step of accompanying her beau to his tattoo appointment in L.A.! They posed for pictures at Shamrock Tattoo and the blonde watched as Styles got a ship tattooed on his arm.
The weekend before Christmas, the duo reportedly went on aromantic ski trip with Swift's BFF Selena Gomez and her on-again beau Justin Bieber.
On New Year's Eve, Haylor met up again in NYC and even shared a smooch in Times Square at the stroke of midnight. Of course, this kiss was captured on video and blasted all over Twitter.

January 2013: Trouble in Paradise? After that NYE smooch, the lovebirds jetted to the Caribbean for some fun in the sun. They took time out of their vacation in the British Virgin Islands to take pictures with fans and probably had a blast. It's paradise — how could you not?
Despite the exciting getaway, there's been a teensy tiny bit of breakup talk this weekend, since
Swift posted: "..'til you put me down" on Twitter. This is a line from "I Knew You Were Trouble," so it could mean absolutely nothing. Or she could be talking about Mr. Styles...stay tuned!
